The 2010 Australian International Ice Hockey Cup is all about celebrating the sport of Ice Hockey. Players from around the World can enjoy playing high level Hockey and seeing the sights of Australia.

Summary of 2009 Season

The 2009 Australian International Ice Hockey Cup has now concluded. The Canada Maples team defeated the Rhinos team 7 goals to 4, in a sensational playoff game witnessed by a crowd of over 750 enthusiastic spectators at Erina Ice Arena. The USA team finished third and the Euro team was 4th.

The competition was an overwelming success with players participating from many of the major hockey nations including Sweden, Finland, Czech Rebublic, France, USA and Canada. All players ejoyed Australia and will go home better players having played in an intense and high quality competition. There were many brilliant moments, exciting games and lots of goals. Many thousands of spectators experienced this event, some were long time hockey fans, many existing hockey players, but also many youths who have been inspired to take up hockey.

A big thank you goes to the hockey players who came to Australia from other parts of the world. Thanks to the great Aussie players who surprised us with their talent. Thanks to the ice rink operators and staff for letting us use their superb world class facilities. Thanks also to the vast number of volunteers, helpers, officials, referees, linesmen, scorekeepers, timers, equipment managers, bus drivers, tourism operators and accommodation venues.
